Recently, it has been observed that 10 primary schools in Navi Mumbai have been operating illegally in the nearby areas, and these unauthorized schools have been functioning without the approval of the government and Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC).

Moreover, all these schools have been identied as English medium institutions. Addressing the same, NMMC has now appealed to the parents not to re-admit their children in these unauthorized schools. As per the R.T.E, Under section 18 of the Act 2009, no new school can be run without approval.

Understanding the same, the NMMC has asked the concerned school managers to contact the parents of their students in the nearest Municipal Corporation or identify other recognized private schools for further education. These schools have also been asked to close immediately, and action will be taken for operating it without permission.

Furthermore, Municipal Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar has appealed to the parents who have taken admission of their children in this unauthorized school to cancel the same and get admission in the nearest government approved school so it does not affect their education.
