All Maharashtra state Universities to conduct offline exams from June 1

Maharashtra Universities and Colleges had been dealing with constant demands from students for having online or hybrid mode exams. Contrary to all the demands, news has come in that in Maharashtra, all state Universities are ready to conduct offline exams. Maharashtra Technical and Higher Education Minister Uday Samant has shared that all these offline summer exams will not be held in May, but from June 1, 2022.

Maharashtra government has made this announcement of offline exams after consulting with Vice-Chancellors of several universities of the state. In the meeting, the VCs unanimously decided that having offline exams was the best option and the same shall be implemented.

Maharashtra Universities are expected to end these exams by July 15, 2022. Local media reports have also shared that all papers are expected to have a gap of 2 days. Further, students will be expected to write proper theory answers in the upcoming summer exams.Uday Samant also announced about these exams via a Tweet. The same has been shared below.

In Maharashtra, the decision to have offline exams in universities comes at a time when students had flooded social media, requesting for online exams. Some colleges of Mumbai University had even started with their exams in hybrid mode i.e, online for some classes and offline for some.

Students must also note that Nagpur University had already announced that it would hold online exams, with an option of offline. With this new announcement of offline exams, whether Nagpur University will change its decision, is not known yet.All students studying in Universities of Maharashtra are advised to stay in touch with their institutes for latest updates on exams.
