Sisodia’s visit is scheduled for Friday when he will interact with teachers, principals, students and parents of various schools in Vadodara at an education event hosted by the Aam Aadmi Party.

This visit comes at a time when the state Assembly elections are slated later this year, and the AAP is increasingly emerging as a third front.

“He will be interacting with the teachers, principals, students and parents of various schools in the city. The idea behind this interaction is to gather first-hand feedback from them and take various measures to improve the education system in Delhi,” AAP said in a statement.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia will Friday visit Vadodara to attend an education event organized by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) comparing the “state of government schools in Delhi and Gujarat”.

Sisodia will interact with teachers, principals, students and parents of various schools in the city at the event, titled “Shikshan Samvad”.

AAP Gujarat president Gopal Italia said that, at the exhibition, comparisons will be made between the state of government schools in Delhi and Gujarat, in order to send the message that a revolutionary change is required in the education system of Gujarat.

Italia criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party for the poor state of the education system in Gujarat. He said that the scene of 100 students protesting for admission to Class 9 is shameful and reflective of a larger problem in the state. Italia asserted that the leadership of Sisodia in Delhi has improved the academic quality of schools and that the same could be done for Gujarat.
