Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) does not seem to be abating the increase in hostel fees. Talks between JNU students and a panel of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) were fruitless on Wednesday. JNU students do not agree and are protesting. In support of the performance of JNU students, now the Students Union of Delhi University (DU) has also come. Today JNU and DU students will take out a march. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) gave this information by tweeting.
A statement issued by the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) said, ‘DUSU has decided to support the JNU and a march will be taken till the HRD ministry on Wednesday. JNU students and the HRD ministry panel held talks on Wednesday. After the meeting, when the students announced to continue the protest, the HRD panel described the conversation as positive. The next meeting will be on Friday. Till then students will continue their agitation.
Meanwhile, in protest against Monday’s police action on Wednesday, as soon as the students walked out of the JNU campus and traveled towards Delhi Police Headquarters, the police arrived. Police stopped the students outside the JNU campus and then filled everyone in the bus and brought it to the police station.
