Legal Salah will open opportunities for Law Students in tier 2, 3 Cities by appointing Ranjan Mistry, as a Strategic Advisor and Board Member

Kolkata-based legal-tech startup, Legal Salah, on December 4th said it has onboarded Ranjan Mistry, one of famous Indian serial social entrepreneurs as a Strategic Advisor and Board Member for Expansion and growth of legal Salah in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of India, who has been known for their social innovation and developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bihar, in a bid to strengthen its leadership team before its forthcoming expansion in 2022. 

With Appointing him, Legal Salah opens doors for law students of other institutions including students of CUSB and Chanakya National Law University, Patna Law College,and students from tier 2,3 cities will have the facility of internship and jobs.

With over a decade of experience, Ranjan Mistry has been working with several startups, enabling startup ecosystems, and doing advocacy over social innovation, social entrepreneurship, rural entrepreneurship and impacting rural population via penetrating rural markets with his new approaches, and currently also serving as an advisor and board member at Medishala, Bihar based health tech startup, advisor at Nav Astitva Foundation, Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh and also mentor at Startup India, & Bala Vikasa International Centre.


As a part of its new leadership role, Mistry will strategise the direction of technology development, brand value, rural penetration, and expansion within Legal Salah’s and its group companies, while introducing emerging technologies to improve legal services outcomes and efficiency in support of the company’s long-term goals.

In 2020, Legal Salah raised $1 million in a seed funding round led by I2I Capitals, a family fund that comprises angel investors. Set up in 2016, Legal Salah is a platform where one can seek legal and tax-related advice, services and assistance in no time. The core team comprises CEO Subhash Jha and COO Sujit Jha 

In his role, Mistry will also be responsible to build and enhance the brand’s value proposition across offline and online mediums to cater to a diverse array of audiences across the country, and abroad. From market research and insight analysis to defining the brand elements and tone, Ranjan will be in charge of creatively increasing brand awareness and strengthening the company’s positioning for market growth. He will oversee the brand’s creative philosophy, conceptualise and execute powerful narratives for Legal Salah.
