Nobel laureate John C. Mather, Oscar winner Garrett Brown, Managing Director of Amul, R.S. Sodhi,and Mrs. Smriti Zubin Irani all set to visit Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, one of the most prestigious technical institutions across the country.
John Cromwell Mather is an American astrophysicist, cosmologist and Nobel Prize in Physics laureate for his work on the Cosmic Background Explorer Satellite (COBE). Mather is a senior astrophysicist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Maryland and adjunct professor of physics at the University of Maryland College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences.
Garrett Brown is an American inventor, best known as the creator of the Steadicam, for which he was awarded the academy awards in 1978. Brown has also invented the SkyCam, DiveCam, and MobiCom.
Smriti Irani is an Indian politician, television actress and producer. She is a Member of Parliament, being elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Gujarat. She is the current Textiles Minister in the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India since 2016. She has also been the Minister of Human Resource Development as well as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
As a cherry on top, Shri R S Sodhi, the man who has been providing dynamic leadership to Amul and the entire Indian dairy industry, especially the critical cooperative dairy sector, which generates livelihood for millions of dairy farmers.
