Governor Lalji Tandon said that the new India is reviving on the world screen. India’s ancient historical and cultural heritage has been very prosperous. We need to take the inspiration from our ancient cultural and educational prosperity today to meet the challenges of the present day. Today we are turning towards the ideological ideology of Pandan Madan Mohan Malaviya, who has established a grand educational institute like BHU with a donation fund, recovering from Lord Macaulay’s thinking.
He was addressing professors and students at SK Memorial Hall on Thursday for the convocation of Patna University. On this occasion, the session of the year 2016-18 is conferred by giving certificates on the medal to the topper students. Seeing the names of 31 girl students in 42 toppers, the Co-Chancellor expressed his happiness and told him a better example of female education in Bihar and a better example of women empowerment. In the function of the year 2018, 1608 students passed 872 in the auditorium today. There were 895 students in the total passed students.
Tandon said that appreciating the apparel of this convocation and saying that this apparel of the teachers and the ‘Malviya cap’ of the forehead is telling us that we have learned to take inspiration from our original ‘Thatti’. The Governor said that high education in the state is growing rapidly. He said that after leaving a university, all the universities have organized a convocation ceremony and the students have been provided degrees on time so that they can make future changes.
He has instructed to conduct regular class operations to improve the academic environment in the universities. The Vice Chancellor asked to keep the academic calendar right. Universities Management Information System has been implemented from this year. He also expressed his hope that the successful system of application for online certification in Patna University would be implemented from June. The Governor appreciated the efforts of the better grade of NAAC in Patna University.
