Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will complete the entire evaluation process of the matric papers by about a fortnight following which the post evaluation process will begin. Assessment of over 15 lakh candidates were earlier postponed till May 3 owing to the pandemic.
Since the post-evaluation process will take around 10 to 15 days, the results are likely to be announced towards the end of the month in May-end, an official from the board said.
Should the result declaration process get delayed due to the lockdown, the board will then declare the results by the first week of June. Students who have appeared for the class X and XII boards will however get their marksheets by September since these marksheets are printed in Delhi and the process itself will begin only when the lockdown gets lifted.
To avoid any mismatch, the board will conduct verification of the toppers of the matric exam. Whatsapp video call was used to verify the toppers of class XII board exams. The results of the intermediate class XII board exam was announced on March 24. A little over 80% students cleared the exam wherein Neha Kumari emerged as the topper with a score of 476 marks.
