Patna: Amity University Patna inaugurated its Annual Fest –AMIPHORIA 2018 at its campus with the aim of uniting youth from Bihar through entertainment and cultural development. The three day long festival will have more than 500 students participating from over 40 institutions in around 25 events spread throughout the city.

The youth festival was inaugurated by Dr. S. Siddhartha, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, Govt of Bihar and ShriAlok Raj, IPS, ADG, Law & Order, Govt Of Bihar along with Dr. T. R. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Patna, Mr. Gaurav Gupta- AVP, Amity, Dr. Vivekanand Pandey- Director, Faculty members, Staff members and students of Amity University Patna.

The program started with lighting of the lamp, followed by prayer dance and welcome song by students. Dr Vivekanand Pandey, Director, AUP, welcomed the distinguished guests and said that Amity students have put up a great show for the youth of Bihar to interact culturally among each other. Amity as an institution believes in imparting strong values and sanskars to all its students and inspires them to become responsible citizens.

Mr. Gaurav Gupta, AVP, who has come to attend the 3 day long event from Amity Noida appreciated the efforts put in by Amity Patna and thanked the Govt of Bihar for all the support extended at various points.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. S. Siddhartha said that it is the responsibility of an institution to build the nation. Amity Patna’s initiative to organize a youth fest is also a step towards nation building. Shri Alok Raj, ADG, Bihar Govt, also appreciated the enthusiasm of students and Amity family members to organize a fest including multiple events and participants from various institutions.

Dr. T.R. Venkatesh informed that the entire AMIPHORIA comprises multifarious events and activities to enhance skills such as event planning, promotion, resource mobilization, financial planning, team building, time management, PR and Media management among other personality development expertise.

The fest provides an arena for multiple creative, sports and innovative youth activities such as Futsal League, Badminton, Battle of bands, human snake and ladder, filmygyan, debate, logo design, group dance, fashion show, tug of war, ad o mania, wordsworth, poster making, calligraphy, chess, photography, funk from junk, nature’s bowl, quiz bowl etc.
The second day of the fest will have a musical night by renowned Bollywood singer Tochi Raina and on the third day Sunburn Campus will perform an Electronic Dance and Music Night.
