Education minister Varsha Gaikwad on Wednesday said that the teachers and students of Maharashtra will get Diwali vacation in the online education system.
Gaikwad told reporters,” a final decision regarding this will be taken shortly. She adds that authorities have been directed against conducting any examination during the Diwali vacation period.
Due to COVID-19 all the schools were shifted to the online mode of learning classes in March month of this year. She said, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is taking outlook of state advocate general and other authorities concerned regarding reopening of standard 11 classes.
Along with all this, she added that due to judicial process there is delay in physical reopening of class 11 lectures however online mode of classes are getting good reaction and the department of education is concentrating on the overall development of students using modern technology.
