IIM Ranchi inaugurated the 2nd batch of its five-day Management Development Program (MDP) in Leadership and Management for the Principals and Vice-Principals of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of Patna Region. This initiative aims to empower school leaders with essential management and leadership skills to enhance the functioning and impact of their schools.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with Prof. Santosh Kumar Prusty, Program Director, extending a warm welcome to the participants and ensuring smooth coordination of the event. This was followed by an insightful address by Prof. Krishna Kumar Dadsena, Program Director, who emphasized the key distinctions between academic teaching and management practices. He highlighted how management education could empower school leaders to navigate complex challenges and effectively deal with critical stakeholders, such as students, parents, and the community, fostering a holistic approach to leadership.
Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean of Executive Education & Consultancy, introduced the program, appreciating the dedication of the participants and providing an overview of the five-day schedule. He highlighted how the curriculum is designed to address key aspects of leadership, governance, project management, and community development, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for all attendees.
Finally, Prof. Tanusree Dutta, Dean of Academics, welcomed the participants and acknowledged their enthusiasm for professional growth. She remarked on how the program aligns with the shared vision of developing capable leaders in the education sector and reiterated IIM Ranchi’s commitment to nurturing such initiatives.
