Langat Singh College Hosts ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect’ Program


Langat Singh College recently organized the 'Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect' program under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. 

The event, which saw active participation from students and faculty, was presided over by College Principal Prof. Kanupriya. Distinguished guests included the University Proctor, Prof. B.S. Rai, and the Registrar, Prof. Sameer Kumar Sharma. Aditya Madhukar, a Youth Icon designated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, served as the keynote speaker.

In his address, Prof. B.S. Rai stressed the pivotal role of youth in the country's future. He stated, "Our cultural heritage, ancient knowledge, diversity, and youthful demographic are our greatest assets in realizing 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. This vision will be achieved through the collective contributions of knowledge, skill, and innovation.

Prof. Sameer Kumar Sharma emphasized the critical balance between technology and ethics. "The synergy of technological power with strong ethical values is essential for making our development inclusive and sustainable," he noted.

The principal, Prof. Kanupriya, commenced her speech by congratulating everyone on the National Service Scheme Foundation Day. She lauded the NSS for its significant contributions to societal and national development. "The aspiration for a 'Viksit Bharat' is not solely about economic progress; it is also intrinsically linked to our social prosperity," she said. She stressed that continuous innovation, intellectual and social development, and active youth engagement would be decisive in achieving the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' goal.

Keynote speaker Aditya Madhukar engaged in an interactive session with the students, highlighting that the 'Yuva Connect' program aims to empower youth by fostering a connection with their culture. 

The program was initiated by IQAC Coordinator Prof. S.R. Chaturvedi and expertly moderated by Dr. Rajiv Kumar, the college's NCC Officer. In his vote of thanks, Dr. Shashikant Pandey, the NSS Program Officer, confirmed the program's success in connecting students with the 'Viksit Bharat' vision. He noted a significant number of registrations on the 'My Bharat' portal, indicating strong student engagement. Other notable attendees included faculty members Prof. T.K. Dey, Prof. Pushpa Kumari, Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Prof. Vijay Kumar, Prof. Shailendra Sinha, Dr. Ardhendu, Dr. Sajida Anjum,  Dr. Navin Kumar, Dr. Anand Kumar,  along with several other faculty members  and NSS volunteers.
