In the corridors of success, determination knows no barriers of background or circumstance. Priya Rani, hailing from the humble village of Kurkuri, Phulwarisharif, has exemplified this truth by securing the 69th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Her journey is not just about personal triumph but also a testament to the power of hard work, resilience, and unwavering support from her family.
Priya's path to success began amidst the green fields of her father Abhay Kumar's farm. Despite the challenges of rural life, her family instilled in her the value of education. Encouraged by her grandfather, Surendra Prasad Sharma, Priya embarked on a journey from Kurkuri to Patna, overcoming societal barriers that opposed the education of girls. With grit and determination, her family relocated to Patna, where Priya pursued her studies at Don Bosco School and later at St. Michael's.
After completing her 12th grade, Priya pursued Electrical Engineering at BIT Mesra,Ranchi setting the stage for her future endeavors. However, her aspirations extended beyond the realms of academia. Priya's ambitions led her to explore opportunities beyond her hometown, landing a job in Bengaluru through campus placement. Yet, her heart was set on a different path – the pursuit of civil services.
Priya's journey towards her UPSC dream was not without its share of setbacks. Despite securing a position in the Indian Defense Service in her second attempt, she faced disappointment in her subsequent trials. However, guided by her father's unwavering belief in her potential, Priya persisted. It was in her fourth attempt that she finally clinched success, achieving an impressive 69th rank.
Her success story is not just a testament to her academic prowess but also her disciplined approach to preparation. Priya attributes her success to regular studies, meticulous note-taking, and a strategic focus on key subjects. From early morning study sessions to late-night revisions, Priya's dedication knew no bounds.
